Contributing Writer: Jessica Z. Diaz Located in Merrick across from the Merrick train station, George Martin's Grillfire serves up great taste with a warm smile. This a great spot for a dinner date as long as you don't get too distracted by the attractive staff. For starters, make sure to try the ginger-vegetable pot stickers that are served with a citrus soy dipping sauce. They're perfect for sharing and come with cool choppy sticks to eat with. The George Martin Chopped salad is a great healthy choice for the those watching their girly figures. For meat lovers, try the Marinated Provelone Cheese Steak, a mouth watering pleasure. Grillfire has a cool and hip retro-modern interior that is comparable to a swanky NYC restaurant. With the large portions of great tasting food, atmosphere, cleanliness and attentive staff it's hard to believe the cost for this meal for two along with a fudge brownie topped with ice cream for dessert was only $45.00!
